1999 Camp Meeting Ridge - Pinot Noir
Tasting Notes
The successful partnership between vineyard and winery in a challenging vintage is especially evident in this wine. An intoxicating Pinot Noir perfume of laser-like purity is "front-and-center" alongside our classic Camp Meeting Ridge spice (cardamom and sandalwood). The flavors are deep and layered with abundant, yet velvety fine, tannins. The finish lasts for minutes. While the seductive qualities of this wine may make it difficult to resist upon release we strongly urge you to lay some down. It will only get better over the next 1-3 years and has the structure and balance to evolve gracefully for well beyond that (7+ years expected).
