Notes on the 2007 Growing Season
The 2007 Vintage was superb. These wines are equal in structure, depth and finesse to the 2005 wines. Cluster set was optimal with the vines in balance through the growing season. Harvest began with Pinot Noir on August 28th in Block 1 at Flowers Ranch (Frances Thompson Block). We finished the harvest under perfect weather conditions at Camp Meeting Ridge on October 2nd with our final Chardonnay pick. Fruit exhibited luscious juiciness, balance and ideal textural ripeness throughout the winemaking process. 2007 will be a classic wine vintage on the extreme Sonoma Coast.
