Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Mailing List and Allocation Program
Since 1991, Flowers has been growing and producing distinctive Pinot Noir and Chardonnay on the extreme Sonoma Coast just two miles from the rugged Pacific Ocean cliffs at elevations of 1,150 to 1,875 feet. We have expanded since those early days and several of our wines are now sold to fine restaurants and high-end retailers throughout the US as well as overseas. However, small production Block, Moon Select and some Estate wines are extremely limited and are only made available to mailing list members.
Due to limited production levels, our wines are sold via allocations on a first-come, first-served basis and are not reserved or guaranteed. The amount of wines allocated to each member is dependent upon aggregate and consistent purchase history as well as seniority on the mailing list.
Primary offer periods for new releases are open every Spring and Fall with additional special offers made available throughout the year, including the holiday season. Members will receive an email and a newsletter announcing each offer and specific allocations will be assigned to each member and available on the website using your member login.
To join the Flowers mailing list, please click here and complete the required information. We look forward to sharing our wine with you.
At Flowers, we respect your privacy and promise not to sell, give, lend or otherwise distribute your personal information to any other party outside of the Huneeus Vintners family of wineries that is not part of the processing or shipping of your wine order without your permission.
How do I place my order?
When an allocation period is opened, we will send you an email with a link to login directly to your allocation on our secure website. Make sure your email address is up-to-date on your account record and that you have added Flowers to your safe senders list. Follow the instructions on the allocations page to enter your desired selections, shipping and payment information. You may also order via mail or fax by completing the printed order form that accompanies your newsletter.
What is an allocation?
Your allocation is the maximum number of bottles of each wine available for you to purchase during an offer period. Please note that once a wine is sold out, your allocation for that wine is no longer available. The number of wines allocated to each member is dependent upon aggregate and consistent purchase history.
When should I place my order?
Since production is limited and allocation orders are processed on a first-come, first-served basis, we recommend you place your order as soon as possible during the allocation period. Once a wine is sold out, your allocation for that wine is no longer available.
Can I order more than once?
Yes. As long as you have remaining quantities on your allocations you may log in and purchase any time during the allocation period. Please note that we may not be able to combine multiple orders into a single shipment, but we will strive to do so.
Can I also order wines from the web store in addition to my allocations?
Yes. When you make your allocation selections and press “Add to Cart” you can still access the web store by going to the home page and selecting “Purchase Our Wine.” Make your desired selections, add them to the cart and then checkout all at once!
Is there a minimum purchase requirement?
There is no obligation to purchase. However, please note that active members are considered those who purchase a case or more in at least two of the most recent three allocation periods. Members are at risk of receiving reduced allocations if consistent purchase history is not maintained.
Can I purchase more than my allocation?
You can request additional quantities beyond your allocation by using the Wish List feature that will appear next to each wine once the maximum allocation quantity is selected. If possible, we will grant wish list requests at the end of the allocation period and issue a subsequent charge to your credit card. Attempts will be made to ship granted wish list requests with the original order, but not guaranteed.
Can you ship to my location? If not, what are my options?
Currently we ship to AK, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, KS, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, NC, NE, NH, NM, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, VT, WA, WI, WY. Please note that many states have individual quantity limits and other compliance requirements. For more information about shipping regulations in your state, please click here.
If you are in a state not listed above, you may ship to a friend or relative in a nearby state that is listed. Also, we work with local wine storage and shipping companies who can pick up the order on your behalf once you establish an account with them: All Ways Cool and 55 Degrees.
Do you offer discounts for case purchases?
While we do not offer price discounts on our wines, ground shipping charges are always included in the wine price for purchases of a case or more to valid shipping states listed above. That’s an estimated savings of $35-45 per case depending on your shipping destination. Please note that if you opt for an expedited shipping option on a purchase of a case or more, we will gladly apply the included ground shipping value toward the expedited shipping charge.
Can I pick up my order at the winery?
Flowers is not yet open to the public so pick-ups are not currently available.
When will I receive my wine?
Orders from each allocation period begin shipping toward the end of each offer period. Specific shipping dates are selectable during checkout for only the dates identified for the allocation period. Orders will ship according to the date and method selected during the ordering process. Shipping notifications with tracking information are emailed automatically when they are ready to ship. It is recommended that you specify an address where someone 21 years or older is available to sign for the package during business hours. Business addresses are preferred.
